Summer School?


These two words don’t necessarily belong together but let’s try and look at this phrase with a light-hearted attitude.


Summer can still be all that we would love for it to be… long days, sun drenched with endless possibilities. Summer also provides so many avenues to explore.


There are so many ways that we can make summer fun and maybe even learn new things too.


Here are some some ideas to pass some of the rainy and sunny days ahead:


  • Plan a trip to a museum (many areas offer library discount passes and free days). There are some fabulous museums that provide hands on exhibits for all ages.

  • Visit local historical sites- homes, seaports and battlegrounds provide a fascinating peek into history


  • DIg in the dirt- take up gardening by growing edibles or flowers

  • Travel someplace new and immerse in the local culture

Summer can be relaxing and fun while also giving us the opportunity to expand our minds and our horizons.
